FOR SALE: 1986 Camaro Z28 IROC-Z that runs 8.90's in the 1/4 mile in the Dragradial class at Milan Dragway. I have had this car since 1995 and have modified it to run safely on the track. It is barely street legal as I have driven it to a few local car shows without any issues. Modifications as follows;
MOTOR: 421ci small block with production block that is half filled with block filler, Howards Extreme crank with 3.875" stroke, Oliver Billet rods 6" with 7/16 top fuel upgrade, Diamond Pistons custom built with compression ratio of 14.8-1, Dart Pro 1 cyclinder heads that are CNC'd and hand touched by Ron Sharpe on flow bench, Super Victor intake hand ported by Ron as well, 1050 Dominator custom built by Chuck Nuyten. This is a nitrous set up with a 2 stage plate system by NOS.
TRANSMISSION: T350 by Art Carr with their 9" stall set up for NOS, the stall has been sent to Lenny at Ultimate Converters to be adjusted for radial tires. Trans Brake equiped.
AXLE: Ford 9" with Mark Williams aluminum center section, MW 40 spline spool, MW Pro support, US Strange 4.11 Pro gear, Moser housing with backbrace and 40 spline gun drilled and star flanged axleshafts.
BRAKES: Strange 4 piston drag race on all 4 corners, Strange manual master cyclinder with all new lines and braided lines.
SUSPENSION REAR: QA1 single adjustable shocks, BMR Extreme control arms, Competition Engineering torque arm that is adjustable.
SUSPENSION FRONT: PA Chrome Moly K-Member with their A-arms, manual rack, and coil over conversion.
SAFETY CAGE: S&W mild steel 10 point with window net and side down bars bent to fit around stock door handles.
INTERIOR: Autometer gages held in by custom carbon fiber cluster and custom carbon fiber center councel, LT1 seats with 5 point harness.
PARACHUTE: Stroud parachute with custom mount by Diamond Fabrication.
BODY: Flame Red in color with 6" pin on hood, stock graphics.
