1984 Ford Thunderbird 5spd car with a 69 boss 302 block stroked to a 347, cleveland heads w/ mild port job, Victor jr intake, Edelbrock 750cfm carb, MSD ignition, Holley Blue Pump, flowmaster exhaust. Also has a mild built 8.8, I can't remember the posi unit but I believe it was a Trac Loc not sure, 4.30 gears. Car is in awesome condition, no rust at all and has all body work done and primed ready for paint. Looking to trade for nice 3/4 ton or 1 ton truck or ?

Kinda cool, I've always loved those cars. They hook really well too.

BTW, those don't look like cleveland heads.
 
Cars nice, real clean on the outside. Interior needs some TLC but other then that it's overall a really nice car. The cleveland head was brought to my attention by several different people that they were cleveland heads and plus they came on boss 302 motors.
 
a guy told me they were clevlend heads, and it is a boss 302 im not sure my son put these pics on here, im a mopar man how can you tell if they are, and we looked up the block # and it says 1969 boss, whats ever done to this car its done wright cause it gets it pretty good, for a 302 and it was at dougs muffler shop in mt clemens, the guy said it was in the high 10s with the other carb that was on it before i got it, it was a 750 demon and had a 100hp shot going into 3gear, but im looking for a dodge ford or chevy dually or 3/4 or 1 tone 4 door, or open to other trades this car is in very good shape for the year, hood is steel with a 1970 chevelle steel cowl welded on, the guy that preped it did a great job, he dose body and paint work, engine and trans have been rebuilt, has southside bars on rear car will come off the ground a few inchs if u get the rpm around 6000 hooks hard
 
frank when that car was at doug's, it did not have cast head's on it .someone changed the motor or just the head's
 
someone else told me it had other heads but it is the same short block i talked to the guy that had it and told me the year but some one did do the heads up that are on it now
 
it sounds good , i was at danielle's yesterday and asked her what was that, she said frank !!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Them are 302 or maybe 351 w heads. And if it's a 302 Boss engine it will have screw in freeze plugs. I have a 351c that I'm putting into my 90 notch.
The Cleveland valve covers use 8 bolts to hold down the cover.The 302 use 6.

Nice project car. Definitely has a lot of potential. Those are definitely not Cleveland (or BOSS 302) heads though. Clevelands have the outboard head bolt bosses above the exhaust ports (common inboard and outboard bolts). Clevelands also have the exhaust flanges at 90 degree angles to the head decks where the 302/351W heads have the ports angled back (as seen in the pictures). Also Clevelands/BOSS 302's have 8 bolt valve covers where the 302/351W covers are 6 bolt (again as in the pictures). Many late model 302/351W aftermarket heads flow better than the Clevelands anyway (smaller ports with higher flow numbers) so not having Cleveland heads is not a big issue.
 
that how much i know about fords i do know that the block code says 1969 302 boss will clevlend heads fit on a 302 block if anyone knows much about these or is the boss a wider block or or differnt deck heigth
 
are the blocks the same as a stock one i know the boss is a 4bolt main but is everthing else the same bolt pattern
 
Yes it's the same bolt pattern but in order to put the Cleveland heads on the 302 block you have to have the heads or the block machined I can't remember which. But you really have a nice set up you shouldn't have any problem selling the car.:_slide_:
