Well... since the weather is breaking and I should be able to start working on it, I figured that I should start up a project thread. So here it is!

It's my favorite body style of all time in a pickup truck. After years of looking, I finally found one on Craigslist last year. The guy was asking $500. I offered $400 and drove it home

It's a 1982 Toyota 4x4 with the legendary 22R engine, 5 speed and a lot of rust!

Next up is to remove the rest of the bed and clean up the frame. I've got a few little spots that will need to be patched. After that I need to get the suspension sorted. The previous owner did an "add a leaf" but it's messed up.

I've already got a replacement hood and front fenders for it.

for the moment... the longterm goal is about 4" of lift, a a flatbed kit like this:

With an OD green and black paint scheme like this:

and keep it under $3,000 total cost. Currently I'm at $600 spent.

i have a new set of 5" long travel leaf springs, bushings, and mounts for the front, also have the axle gussets, shock hoops, and a few other things. i think the springs are from trail gear. i had a nissan that i put toy axles and front suspension and was going to go bigger/ better but sold it first. i think i may have the weld on rock guard for the rear diff as well... pm me if your intrested in them. i also have the mounts for a set of chevy 63" springs for the rear and 2" lift blocks.

Did a little bit of work today... sucks working in the garage with all this crap in there! I gotta get rid of this washer!!!

Fenders coming off... headlight brackets too. I had hoped to save them, but they were broken at almost every tab....
