1966 Chevy Impala 2dr HT. WITH PICS

All Business
Car belongs to my dad, he simply just doesnt have the time or money to finish it. Heres the story:

I found the car randomly over a year ago, saw it, and decided that my dad had to have it. (He sold his previous 66' a few years back) My brothers and I pooled some coin together and I struck a deal with the owner, and he even delivered it right to my garage.

This was intended to be the father and sons winter project, and well, it's not gonna happen, as much as we would like it too.

The car is currently a roller. Factory 327 2 barrell is long gone, factory 3 speed column shift car, trans is long gone too. Car is setup for a super T-10 4 speed, floor shift.

Original black interior is a 8.7-10. It's driver quality all day. Odometer reads in the 80's believed to be original.

MINIMAL Rust issues. Bottom of driver fender is starting, inner of door bottoms have surface rust, etc. Not a rust bucket. Easy restore. Trunk pan may have a few small pin-type holes. Nothing major. Drivers 1/4 panel has a crease/dent, easily handled by a good bump guy. All the glass is good, bumper are nice, grill is nice, etc.

Refurbished gas tank, new sending unit installed, straps, etc. Undercoated to match. Went through the factory 10-bolt, everythings good there.

Have tons of parts, chrome trim, stainless etc. Early 70's 350 4 bolt block, with crank installed last week. New main/cam bearings. Fresh Borg Warner Super T-10, Fresh 65 Corvette cyl heads. Stock 350 rods, pistons, etc. Edlelbrock aluminum intake, new in box oil pan. Fresh flywheel and clutch kit in box. Tons of stuff, the list goes on and on. Car would be an EASY father son winter project. 95% of the stuff is there. Needs a paint job, has the original Nassau Blue paint still on it. 15x7 Ralleys. Someone with the time/resources could easily put it all together, paint it, and make money, or have a nice cruiser for the cheap. $400 Factory radiator just restored/re done by a local place. In box, pretty sure pops has the reciept for it.

I have some pictures but they blow, I'll get good ones and post em up.

Included with the sale of the car, are factory 1966 key blanks, 1966 winter wonderland Plates (nice matched set) And any and all parts we have. Clear title in hand.

SOLD!

Any pics ? Sounds like the one I bought a while back to restore but found out it had too much rust. Yours sounds way better.

nice looking car for the money.

Thanks!

What a great car!

It is, I really wish we could keep it, I'll be sad to see it go.

finally the pics are up, looks pretty clean. Does it needs any body panels replaced, or patched, floors

The drivers fender could use a small patch at the bottom, and drivers 1/4 needs to be bumped, has a crease in it.

that'd be such a sweet 10.5 car.

True, or a resto-mod. LS powered and a 6 speed with big wheels!

Kicking myself....I gave one in about the same condition as yours one to my brother in law about 10 years ago(he's a bump & paint guy) I lost steam on completing it. 327/powerglide/ss buckets & center counsel/no motor or trans, needed a ring & pinion, but every piece of chrome, bezel, emblem, wheel wheel trim, windshield stainless, grill.....every piece... I had new in original gm packaging....fuck.
He had to move and sold it for a couple hundred bucks.
