1958 BMW Some TLC

wide winger

Motown's very own village idiot!
It's a Isetta 300 Great Britain imported to Canada with NO heater.WTF!
Still has Michigan St. Faculty Parking Sticker in the rear window dated 1960.

The numbers matching bubble car has just over 6,000 miles on it, this damn little car helped save BMW after WWII.
Strange driver, 4-SPD box, shifter on the left, 18 HP, 0-30 in ten seconds, does great at certain car shows.

Working on another fine Lucas electrical issue and relocation/replacement of wiring. Just about have them sorted and ready for relocation with better wire protection system.
Black electrical tape is not going to cut it anymore.

Fixed turn signals and emergency brake system while having the car down and apart.

Ordered a chrome bumper/rubber strip that gets attached to the door, new 32-piece rubber gasket kit, the old ones are rotten and falling apart.

Cool, weird little car. Dig it! And yes, compared to your others rides especially it is slooooooooooow. :coolio:

Lucas system/wiring is a joke. Not one single fuse was used in any of the wiring straight out of the restoration shop...........Damn someone must have ran out of money.!

Repaired the emergency brake and installed a new front bumper while waiting on a wiring harness to be built.

was the emergency brake Pine Wood? or something else?

LOL.

It's easier to throw wood under the car to chalk it while working, shift lever is out of the car for a good cleaning and I'm too lazy to open the door get in to pull and release the brake.
