My uncle has decided to sell his 1955 Ford Thunderbird. He is a metal model maker at GM and does NICE restoration work. This is a turn-key T-bird that is ready to drive and enjoy.
1955 Ford Thunderbird. Snowshoe white with red & white interior and black Haartz Stayfast convertible top. 292cid V8 engine, automatic transmission. 59,938 miles on the odometer. Fresh cosmetic frame-on restoration to a very high standard. Straight, rust-free body with beautiful trim. Entire interior and all glass are new. New brakes. Reproduction Kelsey Hayes wire wheels with Firestone bias ply tires. Very correct car: updates installed during the restoration to enhance drivability/reliability are 12-volt electrical conversion with alternator that has the appearance of the original 6-volt generator, Spal pusher fan, stainless steel exhaust, and air conditioning. This is a turnkey 1955 T-bird which is ready to enjoy.
Extra parts leftover from the restoration which are included in the sale include original stamped steel wheels with hubcaps, original hardtop (which needs restoration), and new shocks.
