First, no one is going to carry a tire in stock. You can check with Coker Tire or Universal Tire and they will have the various sizes. Along with the tire, you'll need a tube and the rubber band that goes over the spoke tits on the inside of the rim. These were not mounted on machines. It's all done by hand. These were not balanced either. As top speed on these were usually no more than 65 (and most roads were not safe above 45), it wasn't deamed necessary. This should be no different than changing the tire on a bicycle.

I do motorcycle tires daily here in Warren, so if you get the tire, I can probably help you out. What are the dimensions on the wheel?

By the way, if you insist on having a tire store do the work, be prepared to pay between $35 and $50. Again, it's all hand labor. It will take around a half hour. By the way, not knowing the condition of the wheels, you may need a complete 'flap' if the wheel is badly pitted on the inside. These cover the complete inner portion of the wheel to protect the tube. These would replace the nipple band. Pull the tire before ordering.

Let me get you a contact that specializes in these cars and thier repair if i can find it...

Edit: My card holder is not here, and i won't have it till monday. If you haven't found one by then i'll hook you up. This guy has built many of these vehicles with Fords historic society.

If you want to talk to someone who handles somewhat often call Greg Keller, (810) 237-3440.
He heads up the Buick Gallery in Flint and has done in house restorations on cars dating back to 1913.

You guys are funny. He wants to put a tire on, not restore the car... LOL! It's not rocket science. A good set of tire irons and a tire and he's done.

No offense to you guys, but you'll do major stuff on a modern car but the simplist jobs from long ago confuses the shit out of you. In this case, it's a tire. This is 100 year old technology. People couldn't go to the corner store to fix a flat. They had tubes in the car. Get a flat and change the tube. The tires lasted around 10K.

One guy asked about having a carb rebuilt when it was in his hand to get a carb kit and do it himself in an hour or two. It kills me how you'll pull out a laptop on the modern crap and yet you guys can't deal with old simple technology. Heaven forbid you have your foxbody Mustang when your parts are gone... I'd like to watch one of you guys do a tune-up on a 50's or 60's car with points...

original OEM tire from Coker...(cokertire.com) 866-513-2744

Firestone 475/500x19 BLK Wall $147 (SKU 729600). If you want white wall it's $185
Tube TR135 Center Rubber Stem $14.95 (SKU 86400)
Wheel Flap $24.95

Mount these yourself. Save your money. Learn how to fix the car.

Jim, could you see these guys trying to make heads or tales of a Sun machine/oscilloscope or a distributor machine?

I was more trying to get him a local source for the part. But he did ask to have it put on. Some people just don't like to do thier own work on some things. You're ragging on people as if they all asked for someone else to do it. They are just responding to what the dude asked for. Next time be a bit more comprehensive.

Billy, you're talking about waiting until next Monday for A CONTACT. The other guy is talking about having him drive to Flint. Seriously? If he ordered up the tire & tube yesterday. He could be done with this BEFORE the weekend. He could be done with this in less time than it would take to drive to the tire store. Hell, in the one video, the guy never even took the wheel off the car. Now considering that this is a spare, it could be done on a bench.

These cars are SIMPLE. BASIC. There isn't even a fuel pump. It's a gravity fed fuel system. The brakes are mechanical (linkages). This is not rocket science. IF this applies to the OP, so be it. In this case, it's a tire. Maybe I'm cheap, but I'd rather spend $35-$50 on something I really need help with. And seriously, if his brother-in-law can't deal with something on one of these cars, he needs to sell it.
