Called Rochester Hills C-P for touch up paint for the Scat Pack...$19.99? Does that sound right? Haven't bought any since I had my 98 Formula back in like 2004 and it was around $8.00.

This is for the little bottle with the brush. Somebody's gotta be making 8000% profit on this.

Same at the GM dealer. They have clear in one end, color on the other, and an abarasive tip on one of the caps to clean the chip.

Depending on the color...I got a white pearl bottle from the Honda dealer for $12.95. Works good on Hondas, Nissans, Fords, etc...

I was just looking for the same thing and found the best price on Ebay. Bought an OEM Ford Motorcraft touch up paint pen for $16 so that seems to be what they go for nowadays.

You think that's bad?? I went to Taylor Chevrolet today, looking to buy the plastic clips that hold the lower valance on my 2000 Silverado. $5 for each clip and $5 for each clip retainer. That's right, 2 pieces per hole, 13 holes, for a grand total of $130. Going to ACE hardware tomorrow for some bolts.

Man that's a load of crap. Probably $3 or $4 worth of stuff for $130. I bought the touch up paint BTW.

I am able to do pints quarts and pints and spray cans of color matched paint. I'm still waiting for a few things to come in but should be fully setup by next week.

I'm curious to find out where this machine came from? Considering I work for Axalta aka DuPont and that's one of our machines with Chromabase

Wow! Why is it so expensive? Totally nuts!

The reason paint is so expensive is because of these high volume repair shops that demand crazy discounts, in return the paint companies have to increase price to balance out the TNR. So in reality you can blame greedy BSM's and owners that like to play games is distributors and manufactures causing them to increase price, soon one day the general consumer paying list price will be nearly $1000 for a spray-able gallon of clear

Hence the popularity of wraps, plasti-dip and rat rods. All but kills the painting hobbyist.
