10 PSI GT, um NICE

This whole thing is so screwy, and has been going on so long, I'll just copy/paste myself from another site.

I hate/love to bring this thread back up, but dude, validation has a name, and it is youtube.

In this video:

He clearly says the white Ford GT, which should hit "250 in the standing mile no problem", "should hit 300 mph because the horsepower is there", "when done being dialed in will make 2100 hp", is "running 9.1 now" at "probably 163 mph" in the quarter, that cost about $750,000 to build...well, I'll let the video speak for itself.

712 rwhp.

That's why I'm a huge skeptic. 10 psi or any other number, that rwhp number shows how silly it is to claim stuff before it is done. Raise your hand if you think that motor has another 1400 rwhp in it.

What's a break in tune anyways? Come on. The same shop had that car listed as 1800rwhp for sale for $899,000 a year ago. Give me a break. Then their other car that supposedly ran 10 flats at 132was listed for $500k, and the one time it showed up at a drag event in Florida, it broke something and couldn't make it down the track. On a car equipped with axles built to take 1800 hp? I've never seen any GT break anything beyond a toasty clutch at a drag strip. Lots of claims of times and dynos, but never any proof. Raise your hand if you think a GT could run bottom 9's at 160+ and no video would show up on the net.

There's just a lot of b.s surrounding this car. Any GT will make about 700rwhp on 10psi running turbos. And there's a whole bunch of shops that will do it. I want to say mine made 837rhwp running 18 psi and just about 900 running 24. And that's with a 100% stock everything right down to the muffler.

I had a legit insane GT in my garage all winter that made 1452rwhp with the blower and turbos. Once you take the blower off, I'm sure it would make another 150-200 rwhp, so it's not like 1700-1800 rwhp is impossible when you're changing all kinds of shit and it's only marginally related to the original mod 5.4. That said, based on the history of this particular car, I'll believe anything when I actually see it. One scary thing is that the guy in the first video told someone I know it made a 4 digit number at 12 psi, and the way the turbos are positioned, the car has no filters. Streetability and a lack of filters don't go hand in hand imo.

And yes, I suspect you would not get wheelspin at that power level with a turbo setup. Power probably comes on pretty late and by that time you're probably doing 70-80 mph. Rick's been in my car, and if it's temps are above 80, even running 800+ it really won't spin them very much.
