Went to Kentucky on Monday and was afraid of not being able to ride my bike and work out. Also was afraid of not being able to stick to my diet because it is a pain to cook at the cabin . I bought 24 Protein bars so I wouldn't snack on junk food (Ate all within 5 days). After I got there I ran for 30 minutes three of the nights and went to Wal Mart and used some of the free weights for sale there twice(haha) . I also bought a set of the perfect push up handles at Wal Mart and used those 4 nights. When I got home last night I was at 206 and was 196 when I left Monday !! How do you know if it is fat or muscle? I am trying to bulk back up a bit but I freak out when the scale goes up? I had a couple cheeseburgers but didn't eat too much other junk that I can remember. Rode the bike for 30 minutes last night and was 204 this morning so I don't know.
The sugar alcohol in all those bars can cause many gastric issues. You're likely retaining a bit of water. The only way to be SURE of your muscle gains/fat loss is through body fat %...which I would recommend getting through skin fold measurements. If you're a member of a gym, they should have specialist who can perfrom the measurements for you.
No It actually didn't change my bathroom situation too much and I figured it was better than eating junk food but I am back on track now - 2 bars a day and 3 to 4 shakes along with 30 minutes on the bike and a hour on the weights.
Wish you were closer - I need a partner to push me harder . No one around here is on my schedule and close enough to lift with. I am seeing lots of gains in the last 4 months though - just got to stick with it.
