    Neat '80 Camaro Z28

Noticed this pristine Z28 on a book cover, looks like a 1980 model. Those cars weren't fast, but they looked like they were, lol.:icon_smil Seems like all the detailing they did with colors and graphics has been lost with modern cars. 1980 Z28??

Future Tech that didn't make it

    Tech advice needed

Can anyone here please remove the word auction from this picture? My version of Photoshop lacks the "content aware" function, and the online trial version is too new for my computer's operating system. Thanks.

    Mustang II?!

OMG, Mustang II on two book covers! Jokes aside, I always thought the white, red stripes Cobra IIs looked sharp. Add a 220 hp 302 and I'm interested.

    BMW e39 M5 V8

For anyone that enjoyed that M5 and the pre Chris Bangle cars, this is a nice coffee table book. Those 3 to 5 liter V8s of the 1990s were sweet revving, as long as the Nikasil bore coating didn't peel off! Classic 5 series - No Bangle

    C4 Vette performance figures

For those into Corvettes, this might be of interest. I came across these UK magazine test times. I think they show what a showroom car can do. Since they were export cars, it's unlikely they were enhanced for magazine testing . '82 TBI 350 1968 L68 427 4 speed 0-60 6.1 seconds top speed...

If you check out the free "Look Inside" feature Amazon.com offers, you will see girl band Chicanery and model Elizabeth posing with a '68 Firebird 400. Burt Reynolds is on p112.:icon_cool...

    World's Biggest Muscle Car? (^-^)

Would you say the 7th gen T-Bird, was perhaps the biggest muscle car of all time? 1972-76 Thunderbird Just always had this thought when seeing Jack Cassidy chase Clint Eastwood in The Eiger Sanction (1975).:naughty:

John Travolta Firebird Tribute Car (^-^)

Nice article with the late George Barris. I have always liked the car (the wide body and Mohawk bias belted rubber), but some might not, lol. Discuss!! :icon_razz Feverish Urban Cowboy Bird!

    Future of the Inline 6?

On the one hand it's a long engine, not suited to front drive, transverse cars. On the other for improved emissions and economy turbo modular inline sixes are replacing V8s in some cars (BMW), and these engines can be made into inline 4s and 3s!. So will the inline six stay in trucks, or make a...

    Unusual Ford Musclecar Book

Never seen one, apart from a compilation book, have Ranchero in the title. Neat!:icon_cool Ford Fairlane, Torino & Ranchero Book

Performance trends LS V8 or Turbo 4?

The Nova seems more current in thinking. Recent cars have smaller turbo engines for emissions and economy, plus better handling with less weight in the nose. The old school way was more displacement and don't worry about the understeer!:D Would anyone put a turbo 4 into a classic musclecar?;)...

    Burt Reynolds, Living Legend! (^-^)

In one interview Burt said when car movies were at their height, they did everything but have a car chase through the Vatican, lol! He certainly starred in a few classics.:icon_bigg Movie trailer Pontiac Firebird

    Who killed the Cimarron? (^-^)

Looking at this comparison report with the BMW 325e and the Mercedes 190E, the little Caddy comes out not too bad. Even 30 years ago the German car buyer would never have considered a Caddy, regardless of how good it was. Originally conceived as a BMW 320i & Audi 4000 import fighter, on basic...
